The Office of Legal Affairs has an extensive list of classroom policies that faculty can point to within their Canvas courses using Pages and Modules.

  1. In your Canvas course, create Pages for external resources
  2. You can add Assignments, Pages, Files, and external links in a Module
  3. In the Page, click the downarrow for the Links link
  4. Select External Links. The Insert Link dialog box is displayed
  5. In the Text text box, type the text to be linked
  6. In the Link text box, copy and paste the external link
  7. Click Done

  8. In the Page, copy and paste the external links as needed
  9. Go to the Legal Affairs website to find various syllabus information to add to your Canvas Page
  10. Once the pages have been created, add them to Modules as part of your "Getting Started" resources in your course

Canvas Modules

Modules in Canvas are used to organize course content by weeks, units, or a different organizational structure. Modules essentially create a one-directional linear flow of what students should do in a course.
